Earth Observation
Richard’s father Owen Garriott was a NASA astronaut and was one of the first scientists to travel on the American space platform Skylab. He took some amazing pictures of the Earth below as he travelled. 35 years later, whilst on the ISS, Richard retook the same pictures to show how the Earth had changed in just one generation. He used some special computer software to allow him to link up his images with those his dad had taken years earlier.
